BRIGHT KNIGHTS - 2010
We are Melbourne five piece Bright Knights and although we haven't been around for long, before coming together all of us had already done enough miles on the the local indie scene to know that what we wanted most was to record an album.
Soon after forming in early 2007, we got busy doing exactly that...
We spent our first 12 months writing songs and recording demos in our home studio. We sent these sketches to our favorite producers looking to find someone who loved the songs as much as we did and would be interested in working with us in the studio.
After receiving an enthusiastic email from the man at the top of our list, Scott Horscroft, we made arrangements to track and mix the album in his Sydney based studios (Big Jesus Burger).
At the beginning of July 2009, we left the freeze of our hometown winter and headed into BJB with Scott producing and Chris Townend as engineer. After three weeks, we emerged from these sessions armed with our debut album "The Ocean And The Night", released June 1st 2010.
